Individualized Learning Plan

Before participants arrive on the Disney CareerStart Program at the Walt Disney World® Resort, they should explore the many comprehensive experiential learning opportunities that exist, and outline an Individualized Learning Plan with a parent and/or guidance counselor, or with a faculty advisor at a college or university in which they plan to enroll. Participants can choose an educational track that will best suit their needs and interests, and possibly provide an opportunity to earn college credit.

All students will be enrolled in The Disney CareerStart Exploration Series as a foundation to their plan. Additional options include:

Options include:

  • Collegiate Courses recommended for academic credit by the American Council on Education
  • Spending time at the Disney Learning Centers, where computers, books, videos and computer-led learning activities provide a rich range of learning opportunities
  • Partnering with their leader to connect your classroom learning to the reality of their work environment
  • Volunteerism or service learning opportunities

While on the Disney CareerStart Program, the opportunities for learning abound, and participants can create their own package of offerings. Click here to view a sample of an Individualized Learning Plan.
