Disney Education Courses Expectations

Attire

  • Attire for class is business casual. Work location costumes also may be worn to class. It is NOT acceptable to wear jeans, shorts, sandals, beachwear, cutoffs, tank- tops, etc., to class. Please keep in mind that anything that could be considered distracting or not in the best interest of our professional business environment will not be permitted. For more specific detail, see the Disney Look section of this Web site.
  • Nametags are required to be worn during all classes.

Attendance

  • Arrive for class on time. Plan to be present for the entire class.
  • All students will be allowed two (2) absences, with or without excuse, before course status is affected. The student does NOT need to call the instructor.
  • On the third absence, the student will be dropped from the course automatically.
  • Grades will be affected by absences as outlined in the course syllabus.
  • Each student is responsible for personally signing the attendance roster during each class. Do not sign on behalf of anyone else.
  • Any student wishing to drop a course must do so by the term drop date. There will be no drops accepted after this date without penalty. Students will receive a failing grade of "WF" (WITHDRAW/FAIL) for any course dropped after the term drop date. The term drop date can be confirmed by e-mailing the Education Office at [email protected].
  • Failure to attend class and complete assignments is considered abandoning the course. A student who abandons a course after the term drop date will receive a grade of "WF" for the course.
  • Once a student drops a course, the student's work area will be notified and the student may be scheduled to work during those hours.

Assignments

  • No late assignments will be accepted. All assignments are due at the beginning of the class on the due date.
  • Readings are listed in the syllabus. Materials listed for suggested readings may be found at the Disney Learning Centers.
  • Students are responsible for partnering with their work area leader regarding work-related course assignments.
  • If a student misses a class, the student is responsible for obtaining class materials from the instructor and course notes from classmates.
  • All papers must follow the class writing guide. Papers not meeting these guidelines will not be accepted for full credit.
  • There will be no rescheduling of any test or quiz.
  • Plagiarism and cheating will NOT be tolerated.

Grading
