LivingPlease note housing is only allowed for participants of the program, and no one under the age of 18 is permitted in housing. AmenitiesDisney CareerStart Program Cast Members live with participants from around the world in fully-furnished, gated apartment complexes near the Walt Disney World® Resort. Each apartment complex features onsite security and many of the comforts of home, including high-speed Internet, cable hook-up, a computer lab, a pool, centrally located laundry facilities, a wireless Internet lounge, basketball and volleyball courts, a fitness center, and more. Each complex also has a front desk area with a helpful staff that assists Cast Members with basic housing needs, including maintenance issues, issuing loaner equipment including sporting goods vacuums and mops; selling postage stamps, and answering questions. Here's a sneak peek of our housing complexes. Please keep in mind that the views below are samples of the rooms that are available. Remember the actual layout varies with each complex and apartment size.
TransportationTransportation is provided for participants to and from work, as well as areas of local interest, such as the post office, grocery store and mall. In addition, many special trips are planned throughout the year to additional locations, such as the beach. Housing CostsParticipants will never have to worry about making a rent payment or their utilities bill as all housing costs are deducted from the participants' paycheck for their convenience. Costs vary from $80-108 per week based on the size of the apartment (one to-four bedroom apartments are available with two occupants in each bedroom). Participants will also be responsible for a non-refundable $100 Program Assessment fee, which helps support the events and activities scheduled in the housing complexes throughout the program, and a non-refundable $200 Housing and Administration fee, that will be applied to the participant's housing costs during the first few weeks of the program. Also, please note a minimal processing fee will also be assessed to the total. These non-refundable fees must be paid as a single payment at the time an applicant accepts their invitation to participate on the program. Once the payment is received and the online acceptance process is completed, we will officially reserve the student's place on the program. Please note that this payment must be made by credit card. Other forms of payment, including cash and personal checks, will not be accepted. Housing EventsIn addition to the comfort and convenience our apartment complexes provide, Cast Members in the Disney CareerStart Program are invited to countless housing events, including pool parties, character breakfasts, talent shows, ice cream socials, movie nights, pizza parties, basketball tournaments, dances, and networking events, where they will make new friends, share new experiences, and make memories that will last a lifetime. |
