A potential way to earn credit is to successfully complete one or both of the Disney College Program Education courses. The American Council on Education recommends both of the following courses for three semester hours of credit. Each course is taught once per week lasting four hours in length, and totals 44 hours of course work in your Individualized Learning Plan. Please check with your faculty advisor as to whether they will recognize our classes for credit.

Course Syllabi

Marketing You!
This course uses directed discussion and cooperative learning experiences to both define a personal brand for career marketing and to focus students who do not have clear career objectives. Key elements of the course include the development of a career focus and a marketing plan. The marketing plan allows a student to develop a 30-second commercial, cover letter, résumé and networking strategy. The students also will learn interviewing and negotiation techniques.

Organizational Leadership
Knowledge of leadership theory and how to apply it is critical for today's leaders. Participants in this course will examine and apply the classical models of leadership in preparation of their application in today's corporate environment. Throughout the course, you will examine various aspects of leadership and reexamine the results of your own leadership style.

ACE Courses

Many institutions accept the American Council on Education (ACE) credit recommendations or offer students credit for their Disney College Program experience through cooperative education programs, internship programs and/or independent study courses.

The decision to award credit is determined by the participant's individual college or university.
