Individualized Learning Plan

Before participants arrive on the Disney CareerStart Program at the Disneyland® Resort, they should explore the many comprehensive experiential learning opportunities that exist. They should outline an Individualized Education Plan that will suit their needs and may provide opportunities for college credit.

While on the Disney CareerStart Program, participants can choose from multiple educational opportunities that have been designed specifically for them. Options include:

  • The Disney CareerStart Educational Series, a mandatory nine week course that will ease their transition from high school to the work force
  • Courses recommended for college credit by the American Council on Education
  • The Leadership Speakers Series, where Disney Leaders share their career paths and help participants with theirs
  • Spending time at one of three Disney Education Centers, where computers, books, videos and computer-led learning activities provide a rich range of learning opportunities
  • Partnering with their leader to connect your classroom learning to the reality of their work environment

While on the Disney CareerStart Program, the opportunities for learning abound, and participants can create your own package of offerings.
