Hourly Positions
Disneyland Resort has a variety of hourly positions available at the Parks and Hotels. These may include:
- Food Operations -- serving our Guests or preparing food within restaurant and vending locations.
- Custodial -- keeping restrooms, parade and show venues, and other Guest/Cast areas clean; some third-shift opportunities.
- Hotel Operations -- roles include restaurant/culinary opportunities, bartenders, bussers, host/hostesses, room-service, servers, cashiers, cooks, front desk receptionists, certified lifeguards, housekeeping, laundry attendants, hotel engineers, valets, bellmen, convention services, and recreation services.
- Security -- answering Guest questions and monitoring Parks, parking lots, Downtown Disney, and Hotels to ensure a safe environment.
- Stores -- providing suggestions for merchandise purchases, conducting sales transactions, light cleaning, and stocking/organizing merchandise.
- Resort Transportation and Parking -- directing traffic in parking lots, driving, or delivering spiels on trams.
- Attractions -- delivering spiels to Guests, safely operating attractions, and organizing Guest flow for parades and shows.
- Guest Relations -- answering questions via phone, responding to Guest concerns/compliments, conducting tours of Park.
- Walt Disney Travel Reservationist -- primarily working on phones and computers to aid Disney Guests, making travel arrangements.
- Guest Services -- operating a sophisticated ticketing system, conducting cash transactions, and facilitating Guest entrance into the Resort.
- Entertainment or Innovention Roles may be obtained through auditions. Please see the Entertainment page for more information.
- Nurses -- provide professional nursing care to Guests and Cast Members; provide first-responder care to emergency situations.
- Fire -- 5 years' experience with municipal fire department; respond to fire emergencies, do extensive fire prevention work including preplans, and provide pyrotechnic safety symbols.

General Maintenance Roles - Most maintenance roles are filled with qualified applicants
possessing a minimum of two years, recent hands-on work experience in a particular skill,
craft, or trade. Most positions require working third shift. The maintenance area includes
many different job classifications, such as:

Other Job Expectations
Scheduling expectations for hourly roles include:
- For seasonal roles: available to work for the peak seasons of Christmas, Easter, and summer.
- For part-time roles: available to work peak seasons, as well as weekends and nights for special events during non-peak seasons.
- For benefited part-time & full-time roles: fully available to work during the week and/or weekends.
- For all roles, principles of seniority are used for scheduling. However, every attempt is
made to meet scheduling preferences for days off and shift assignments.
Appearance Guidelines
As a Cast Member, you will need to follow appropriate guidelines, which include but are not limited to: no
visible tattoos or body piercings, except one earring per ear for women; for men, hair length must be above
the collar and facial hair limited to a neatly trimmed mustache. For designated positions,
you may be required to wear a costume issued by our Costuming department themed to your work location.
Transportation
Reliable transportation is a must. Public transportation and carpools may coordinate with the Disneyland
Resort's changing schedules. A Commuter Assistance program is available.
