Program Overview
Set your learning on the right track!
Participants have the opportunity to engage in a variety of
learning opportunities that will best suit their needs and interests. Getting
involved in educational opportunities will provide participants with the
foundation they need to be successful in the program and to establish
themselves onto a future path - whether they are college bound or planning
their next step in their career.
All participants will be enrolled into the Professional
Development Study course that will teach a basic understanding of the lines of
business that comprise the Disneyland® Resort. Some of the
additional educational offerings participants may choose to add to their
program include:
- The Leadership Speakers Series, where Disney
Leaders share their career paths and help participants discover their own.
- Collegiate Courses recommended for college credit by the
American Council on Education.
- Spending time at one of the Disney Learning Centers,
where computers, books, videos and computer-led learning activities provide a
rich range of learning opportunities.
- Partnering with their leader to connect classroom
learning to the reality of the their work environment.
The Disney Difference
Participating in the Disney
CareerStart Program also means being a part of the
Disneyland Resort
Cast Member community and being eligible for the cool benefits and discounts
that you get as part of the Disney Difference. This includes Commuter
Assistance such as Vanpooling and annual OCTA Bus Passes, Theme Park Admission,
select merchandise and food and beverage discounts, resort discounts, Cast
Member exclusive events, and more! You'll also have the opportunity to take
part in special events and activities exclusively designed for participants on
the Disney CareerStart Program!
