At the age of five I watched Cinderella at the historic Paramount Center for the Arts in Peekskill, New York, and identified with the Disney brand before I could even speak English. Disney is a brand that all kids know and love. I think as you grow into adulthood you don't lose that - so I jumped at the chance to work here!
As a Lead Senior Flash Engineer, I run point on many Flash projects that are either built in-house or developed by a vendor. As the main Flash stakeholder on our team, I advise on all ActionScript builds, drive the technology migration to ActionScript 3, and assist with troubleshooting. In addition, I provide direction to our vendors and conduct code reviews to ensure they deliver quality work that passes QA, meets deliverable requirements, and arrives within project deadlines.
Recently I collaborated with Disney Online's Casual Games team, helping to build a part of the brand-new Disney XD site that launched February 2009. This was a great accomplishment and an amazing site! I've also been a part of teams that have launched Disney on Ice, Walt Disney Pictures, and Disney Channel.
I am new to the Southern California area so I am still in exploring mode. I already have an immediate connection to the beautiful beaches here, and I'm continuing to discover places as I go riding through new communities.
