- Clean a polluted lake or river
- Make a panel for the AIDS Quilt and give awareness presentations
- Help design a playground in an under resourced neighborhood
- Volunteer as a candy stripper in a hospital
- Hold a forum about racism to form possible community solutions
- Work as an aide in group homes for adults with disabilities.
- Set up a peer counseling program
- Serve on boards for non-profits that affect youth issues
- Develop water quality projects to test and monitor local rivers and lakes
- Help with repairs at a local homeless shelter or on homes of seniors in your community
- If your community doesn't have a food bank, work with local officials to start one
- Organize a senior prom with your local nursing home or senior center - teach them your dances and ask them to teach you theirs
- Design and paint a mural over graffiti
