years ago during the late Cretaceous Period, "Dinosaur" immerses moviegoers in a photo-realistic prehistoric world
of wonders as it follows the dramatic action-filled journey of a three-ton iguanodon named Aladar.
Separated from his own species as a hatchling and raised on an island paradise by a clan of lemurs, Aladar's life
is plunged into chaos when a devastating meteor shower forces him to join a group of migrating dinosaurs
desperately searching for a safe nesting ground. With water and food in short supply and vicious carnotaurs
posing an ever-present threat, Aladar challenges the traditional ways of the herd and attempts to show that
being adaptable is the best path for survival.
"Dinosaur" seamlessly blends digitally enhanced live-action photography, special-effects wizardry, and
computer-generated characters to immerse moviegoers in a photo-realistic prehistoric world of wonders. Released
to theaters on May 19, 2000.
