Tatooine is a remote desert planet in the backwater Outer Rim territories. There isn't much to see here, and yet it remains a popular Star Tours destination thanks to the annual Boonta Eve pod race just outside the space port of Mos Espa. Life forms from all over the galaxy flock to the pod race to compete or gamble, so it's smart to book passage early. It's not often talked about for fear of persecution, but Tatooine is still best known as the birthplace of Anakin Skywalker, the fallen Jedi Knight who turned to the Dark Side under Emperor Palpatine and became the Sith Lord, Darth Vader. Star Tours recommends a stop in the space port of Mos Eisley, where the local cantina's house band is Figrin D'an and the Modal Nodes, one of the most popular and talked about musical acts in the galaxy. If you do book passage to Tatooine, however, be sure to pack a blaster and watch your step -- this place can be a little rough.
