The Winners of the College Critics' Picks 2003 The votes are in, and the members of the Movies.com College Critics Association have picked their favorites. Sean Penn's role in Mystic River was named the Best Leading Male Performance, and Scarlett Johansson won the Best Leading Female Performance for Lost in Translation. The latter film also garnered Johansson and Bill Murray the Best On-Screen Chemistry title and walked away with the Best Soundtrack honors. Not surprisingly, the film critics from universities and colleges across the nation who make up the association decided that the Ben Affleck-Jennifer Lopez debacle Gigli was the worst film of 2003, and they picked Danny Boyle's low-budget 28 Days Later as the best horror flick. What movie offered the most accurate portrayal of the lives of 20-somethings? Why, Old School, of course.
