Our Kid of the Month for April is 9 year old Derek L. from White Bear Lake, MN!

Derek was nominated by his Mom for his quick actions and level head during an ice skating outing. Derek and his Dad were skating on White Bear Lake using a tarp for a wind sail. When his Dad fell through a fault in the middle of the lake, Derek used the tarp to pull him to safety.

Derek has won a $1,000 scholarship, a Razor Scooter, and a Kid of the Month merchandise package (including a KOM t-shirt, cap, backpack, & certificate).
