DISNEY'S BLAST DOME

Book Nook: Classic Characters (For ages 5-9)

Just in time for back to school, this Print Center activity starring Mickey and friends will help your child make book covers, bookmarks, and other fun, creative stuff!

MOUSE HOUSE JR.

Three Little Pigs and the Big Bad Bully (For ages 3-7)

Join the Three Little Pigs in their quest to stop the Big Bad Wolf and his bullying ways. This is a great learning-together activity for parents and children. There's even a printable poster at the end that suggests what kids can do if they're being bullied themselves.

Winnie the Pooh and the Honey Tree Countdown (For ages 3-7)

Pooh's on a quest for honey -- again! He's parked himself at a honey tree, and the bees that live there don't like it. To make them go away, all your child needs to do is count the number of bees and click on the honey pot with the corresponding number. This game is perfect for building preschoolers' math and reading skills.

Parents' Tip Child's Play
PARENTS' TIPS FROM FAMILY.COM!

Need a simple project for those itchy, edgy, last few days of summer vacation? Have your child assemble a Back-to-School Time Capsule. By adding to it each year, your child can create a book of memories and milestones and earn a great feeling of personal growth in the years to come -- and no doubt a good laugh!

Here's how: Transform a blank three-ring notebook into a time capsule by decorating pages so that they record what the summer was like as well as hopes for and thoughts about the coming school year.

Some Starter Ideas:

  • Photo from summer camp
  • The best thing that happened this summer (a drawing, a photo, or a few words)
  • What I like to collect (show it or write it)
  • Vacation photos
  • Handprint or footprint in washable tempera paint
  • Drawing or photo of my best friend
  • Best movie I saw this summer

Age 6
Step right up to Goofy's Wacky Wind-up! First your child must figure out which item in the carnival game doesn't match. Then your child can watch Goofy wind up and take his best shot!

Age 9
Ready to go for the gold? Kids will have a blast when they meet Jim and Jim, the stars of Elastic Jimnastics! As your child moves the teeter-totter, the Olympic gymnast hopefuls bounce high in the air, grabbing medals and earning points. It's a Jim-dandy game for kids of all ages!
