Check out these super-cute book keepers -- theyre a crafty way to store your childs many books and magazines, and theyre awfully fun to make as well. All you need is a large, empty laundry-soap box, colored paper, glue, felt, a pencil, scissors, and markers, stickers, or colored tape.
Step 1: With the scissors, cut off the top half of the box and discard it. Then cut the bottom portion of the box in half vertically to create two open-face cases.
Step 2: Use a pencil to trace around the sides and back of each case onto a piece of colored paper. Cut out the paper tracings and glue them onto the outsides of the cases. Then cut out felt pieces to cover the undersides of the cases and glue them on.
Step 3: Now decorate the cases to suit your childs individual taste with stickers, colored tape, glitter glue or original drawings!
