Its time to get
crafty! In celebration of Walt Disney Pictures newest feature
film release, "Lilo and Stitch," try making these seashell
angels to capture the spirit of Hawaiis beaches in your home.
Step 1: Purchase or collect a handful of seashells
in various sizes. Youll need a medium-sized fan-shaped shell
(such as a scallop, lucina, or clamshell), a small, round-bodied
shell (such as a moon, top, bubble, or cowrie shell), and
a small bowl-shaped shell (such as an ark, telling, or cockleshell).
Step 2: Your child will need to try different combinations
to get the right shapes together. Try using a scallop shell
for the angel's dress, a cowrie shell for her head, and a
small cockleshell for her bonnet.
Step 3: Glue the angel shell pieces together very carefully
with a hot-glue gun (adults only).
Step 4: Once the glue dries, your child can paint on
a face and hair, and tie or glue a loop of fishing line around
the back of the bonnet for a hanger.
