Born July 22, 1992, in Dallas, Texas, Selena Gomez started acting at age seven. She has made her greatest impact as an actress starring as girl wizard Alex Russo in the hit Disney Channel series "Wizards of Waverly Place.” Selena has volunteered for St Jude's Hospital for children and Disney's Friends for Change, and she was twice named youth ambassador for UNICEF.

Selena recorded three songs for the "Wizards of Waverly Place: The Movie" soundtrack, as well as tracks for "101 Dalmatians," "Another Cinderella Story" and "Tinker Bell." But she had broader musical ambitions, which led to the recording and release of her 2009 debut album “Kiss & Tell,” featuring the hit single “Naturally.”

Her follow-up album, “A Year Without Rain,” revealed Selena and her band, The Scene, in a whole new light. The album featured the hit singles "Round & Round" and "A Year Without Rain."

In 2011, Selena releases "When the Sun Goes Down," featuring the smash-hit single "Who Says," which tells everyone who's ever felt like they're not good enough that they're perfect just as they are.

We definitely haven’t heard the last from this multi-talented vocal whiz!
