A man of few words, Schmoot has given vague and occasionally conflicting accounts of his own history - always in the third person. While Schmoot claims his history includes stints as a male model, a champion surfer, a martial arts expert, and a stand-up comedian, he always seems to drift back to gardening. Some say he has a natural way with living things.
It is presently unknown if Schmoot is his first name, last name, or a nickname. He does not appear to have used any other name during his adult life. He has never spoken of any relatives. Likewise, Schmoot's accent is difficult to pin down. "Schmoot has lived in many places" is the one comment he has ever made on the subject. He is similarly reluctant to talk about his previous employers and is a true man of mystery.
