Once you have your trends, colors and fabrics selected, begin sketching out your ideas.  These are called Fashion Sketches or Croquis.  Croqui is the French word for sketch.  This is an important stage in the process – since this is where your designs start to come to life. A sketch is started in pencil, and once you’ve achieved the look you like, you’d go back over the drawing with pens and colored pencils to add detail and color.
