The Disney Insider went "inside" the making of "Cinderella II:
Dreams Come True" to dig up some fun facts - use 'em to impress your kids or friends while watching the movie!
·Listen carefully to the background music and you'll hear songs from
the original. For example: In scenes with the Fairy Godmother, you hear "Bibbidi-Bobbidi-Boo," her catchy tune
from "Cinderella." And at certain times when Cinderella appears, "A Dream Is a Wish Your Heart Makes" plays.
·Actor Corey Burton - who voices gutsy Gus in
"Cinderella II" - always wanted to be the voice of Captain Hook. He began his career at age 17 doing Hook
sound-alike recordings when the original voice actor, Hans Conreid, was unavailable. Now, 29 years later,
Burton's career has come full-circle: He voices the dapper buccaneer in the Peter Pan sequel, "Return to
Never Land," now in theaters.

·When Cinderella decides she's had enough of the stuffy princess
routine and just wants to be herself, she lets down her hair and says, "This hair! Eewww!" The line, ad-libbed by
Jennifer Hale who voices Cinderella, wasn't in the original script. But that was OK with the filmmakers; they wanted
a contemporary princess and felt Jennifer's line was perfect for a modern Cinderella.
·A couple of the actors who "squeak" for the mouse characters in
"Cinderella II" have won renown by voicing other famous mice. Russi Taylor (Mary Mouse) is also the voice of Minnie
Mouse. And Jaq's voice is provided by Rob Paulsen, who's probably best known for playing Pinky of "Pinky and the
Brain" fame.
·The twirling paintbrushes featured in one of the movie's
interstitials were created as an homage to the dancing brooms in "Fantasia."
"Cinderella II: Dreams Come True" is available now on video and
Disney DVD.
