Underdog Has His Day
This summer, Disney's really going to the dogs. Or, at least, to "Underdog"! The heroic caped canine is soaring on to screens nationwide on August 3, and you'll never look at your pup the same way again.
Although Underdog was originally a cartoon character, the film "Underdog" is live-action, and portrayed by a talented young beagle named Leo (OK, his lines were dubbed by actor Jason Lee -- Leo's not THAT talented!). Leo's spectacular on-screen performance is thanks in large part to legendary animal trainer Boone Narr. Boone is an industry veteran, having worked with critters large and small, including the troublemaking monkey in the "Pirates of the Caribbean" trilogy and the animals in 1998's "The Parent Trap," among scores of others.
Boone sat down to tell us about the flying, fun, and purloined ham sandwiches that went in to the making of "Underdog."

YOUR QUESTION
What does Disneyland do with retired decorations and banners? For the 50th anniversary there were the golden 50 Mickeys throughout the park. And recently for the "Rockin" rollercoasters of Space Mountain and California Screamin, there were banners throughout the Park.

DAVE'S ANSWER
Through the years, Disneyland has sometimes sold retired decorations to Cast Members, to attendees at Disneyana Conventions, and through Disney Auctions. Some decorations are saved for reuse, or for historical purposes.
