Friendship and Magic - the Road to "Bridge to Terabithia"
Kids who discover a wonderland where friendship comes first and anything is possible -- that's the heart of the new Disney film "Bridge to Terabithia," which opens this Friday, February 16. And according to the film's young stars, that's also what the filming experience was like. Shot on location in beautiful New Zealand, "Bridge to Terabithia" found them making new friends, exploring a new world, and stretching their imaginations in ways they never had before.
Based on the Newbery Medal-winning novel, "Bridge to Terabithia" introduces us to Jesse Aaron (Josh Hutcherson), who's lonely and unhappy at school. When a new girl at school beats him in a footrace, at first he's resentful, but soon he and Leslie (AnnaSophia Robb) become fast friends. Together they create the imaginary kingdom of Terabithia.
