ASK DAVE
YOUR QUESTION
When Fantasyland was remodeled into a Bavarian Village, was that the first (and only) major remodel of the Peter Pan ride? Did that remodel involve changing the overhead track path or length? Did the time for a ride remain the same?
- Nick, 62, Los Osos, CA
DAVE'S ANSWER
There had been major additions to Peter Pan's Flight in 1961, but the entire ride was gutted and rebuilt in 1982-83. The parts that did not change were the overhead track, except for smoothing a sharp turn, and the boats, so, indeed, the length of the ride is essentially the same today as it was in 1955.
For larger groups or families, consider purchasing inexpensive walkie-talkies for Disney Park visits. With so many exits and entrances to rides, stores and restaurants, a walkie-talkie can take the guesswork out of locating roaming family members!
