Just beyond the world you see, there is another world where the air shimmers with pixie dust and the impossible happens everyday. If your child loves DisneyFairies.com, they surely believe in Fairies already - but believing is just the beginning!

You can learn a lot about your child’s interests and imagination by their favorite Disney Fairy or their Fairy talent – and get some wonderful clues as to activities that will help her learn and grow. Here are some magical suggestions on how to connect with your young hopeful:

Garden Fairy
Garden fairies spend most of their time outdoors. Their colorful gardens can be seen in all corners of Pixie Hollow. Garden-talent fares have a special relationship with all things that grow from the earth. They can sense what a plant needs and have an intuitive understanding of how to help them blossom and grow. If your child loves Garden Fairies, try these great activities you can do together:
• Go to the local garden center with your child and let them pick out their favorite flower, it can be planted in a special pot you decorate together, or you can bring it home and plant in the backyard. Encourage them to water it every day, pay attention to its needs, and track its growth.
• Garden fairies also love beauty and, like Rosetta, love to do makeovers. Give your child a very special makeover (or let her do you!), pretending to use pollen for eye shadow, berry juice for lipstick, and crushed flower petals for rouge.

Water Fairy
Water-talent fairies can manipulate water in astonishing ways. They can mold it like clay, make it freeze or boil, or create powerful waves in puddles and ponds with just a flick of pixie dust.
• Your Fairy Hopeful and her friends will love playing Fairy Tag even more this spring and summer if you add a special twist – turn on the sprinklers and watch them go!
• Swimming lessons are a dream-come true for water-talent wannabes – visit your local community center and discover what’s available to help your child learn to swim and play safely in the water.
• Or for a delightful break on a hot day, make colorful popsicles using fruit juice frozen in popsicle holders or cups.

Animal Fairy
Animal talent fairies have the unique ability to speak with any animal in its native tongue, whether it be Raccoon, Bird, Tree Frog, or Squirrel. They are extremely sensitive and can “read” an animal’s thoughts or emotions. Here are some great ideas for encouraging your Fairy Hopeful in their love of animals:
• Buy a bird feeder or hummingbird feeder and give your child the responsibility of keeping it filled with bird seed or sugar water (one part white cane sugar to four parts water). Help them create a special journal to draw pictures of the birds that come to feed.
• Caring for a pet is a wonderful way for a child to learn responsibility and express their love of animals. If your family already has a pet, give your child specific responsibilities in relation to the care of your pet. If your family doesn’t have a pet, together you could choose the pet that best fits your lifestyle, whether it’s a goldfish, a turtle, a kitten or a puppy – pets are a big responsibility that can fill your home with love and enjoyment. Or, if a pet isn’t an option due to your living circumstances or a family member with allergies, you might consider helping your child find a friend to assist with pet care – such as walking a neighbor’s dog after school.

Light Fairy
Light-talent fairies are the stars of celebratory light shows and put on dazzling performances. They are also responsible for keeping Pixie Hollow aglow once the sun sets, and train fireflies and glowworms to work as torches and lanterns.
• Light-talent Fairies love to make rainbows, and you can help your child do the same. Try creating Iridessa’s special Rainbow sugar cookies with this yummy recipe you can make together:

Materials Needed:
1. Pre-made sugar cookie dough from your local grocery store
2. Small jars of various flavors of jams or jellies in the colors of the rainbow – you can use grape, strawberry, orange, lemon, etc.

Instructions:
• Place the dough between two pieces of wax paper and flatten it completely with a rolling pin
• Remove the top piece of wax paper
• Using the back of a spoon, spread one inch lines of preservatives
• leaving a small amount of space between each line
• Starting from the right side, roll the dough until you have one long tube
• Cut the roll into ¼ inch slices and place on a cookie sheet
• Cook according to directions and enjoy!
