Your entire family will be entertained and inspired when you
watch the powerful and triumphant movie Remember the
Titans, debuting on video and Disney DVD on March 20.
Academy
Award® winner* Denzel Washington gives a victorious
performance in this stirring and uplifting film. Based on
a real-life drama, Remember the Titans is a rousing
celebration of how a town torn apart by friction and mistrust
comes together in triumphant harmony.
The
year is 1971. After leading his team through 15 winning
seasons, football coach Bill Yoast (Will Patton) is demoted
and replaced by Herman Boone (Denzel Washington) -- tough,
opinionated, and as different from the beloved Yoast as he
could be. How these two men overcome their differences --
and turn a group of hostile young men into champions -- plays
out in a remarkable and triumphant story full of soul and
spirit. You and your family will never forget the Titans.

The
movie is produced by blockbuster filmmaker Jerry Bruckheimer,
who also produced hits such as "Gone in 60 Seconds,"
"Enemy of the State," and "Armageddon," as well as
the upcoming theatrical film "Pearl Harbor."
All across America coaches have found another way to rev
up their teams before a big game: They take their
players to see Remember the Titans. The UC Berkeley
football coach, determined to end his team's four-game losing
streak, took his team to see "Titans" and the
next day beat UCLA (46-38) in three overtimes. The
film has proved to be unbelievably motivating and inspiring
for all.
The DVD offers special bonus features, including two audio
commentaries -- one with real-life coaches Herman Boone
and Bill Yoast, and the second with director Boaz Yakin,
producer Jerry Bruckheimer, and writer Gregory Allen Howard.
Plus it has six additional scenes not shown in theaters, two exclusive
featurettes, and an ABC Special, "Remember the Titans:
An Inspirational Journey Behind the Scenes," hosted
by Lynn Swann.
