txt=NOAH EMMERICH is best known for portraying Marlon, the best friend of Truman Burbank (Jim Carrey) in Peter Weir's "The Truman Show." He was most recently seen starring opposite Angelina Jolie and Clive Owen in Martin Campbell's "Beyond Borders," an epic love story set in the world of refugee relief work. Emmerich made his feature film debut as 'Mo' in Ted Demme's "Beautiful Girls" with Matt Dillon, Uma Thurman and Timothy Hutton. He was most recently seen opposite Nicholas Cage in the John Woo film "Windtalkers." Other film credits include "Frequency" with Dennis Quaid, "Life" with Eddie Murphy, "Crazy in Alabama" opposite Melanie Griffith and directed by Antonio Banderas, "Love %26 Sex" with Famke Janssen, and "Miracle" director Gavin O'Connor's first feature, "Tumbleweeds" with Janet McTeer. Emmerich studied filmmaking at New York University where he wrote and directed the short film "The Painter" which won the Cine Award in Washington, D.C., and the International Film Festival of Badalona, Spain. His second directing effort, "The Date," won the Short Comedy Award at Houston's Worldfest Film Festival. His production company, Sandbox Entertainment, has a first look development deal with New Line Cinema, where he has several scripts in development, including "Action Abramowitz," an action comedy starring Ray Romano. Emmerich is an honors graduate of Yale University with a degree in history.
