Catherine O'Hara first got into acting, writing, improvising and directing with Toronto's Second City Theatre before co-creating the TV comedy series "SCTV," which is currently enjoying a successful DVD release.
Her film credits include "After Hours," "Heartburn," "Beetlejuice," "Home Alone." "Homefries," "Orange County", and "Game 6." O'Hara has received critical acclaim for her roles in the improvisational ensemble comedies of director Chris Guest, including "Waiting for Guffman," "Best in Show" and "A Mighty Wind." She re-teamed in 2006 with Guest and co-writer Eugene Levy in the upcoming feature, "For Your Consideration." Catherine also costars in the feature "Penelope" due this fall.
Catherine's voice can be also heard in the animated feature "Monster House" and in the upcoming film adaptation of "Where the Wild Things Are."
