Many years ago, Thaddeus Bluff led a group
of settlers who longed for freedom to practice the piano in a manner
of their own choosing. They "decided" to settle in what became Bluffington
when Thaddeus put his foot down--on a rock that flipped up and blinded
Herman, their seed bull, in one eye. With only one good eye, Herman's
depth perception was destroyed and he could not continue the journey.
So they stayed there. Now, for five generations since Thaddeus, the
Bluffs have exercised their unique brand of influence over Bluffington's
culture and heritage.
