Picture of Jodi Benson The voice of Jodi Benson has become familiar to many since she became the vocal embodiment of Ariel, the beautiful mermaid in Disney's hit film, The Little Mermaid.

The talented actress and singer has made her home on the stage since her 1983 Broadway debut in "Marilyn: An American Fable." Other leading Broadway roles include the production of "Smile" and the 1989 Cy Coleman musical "Welcome to the Club." Miss Benson performed in the national road production of "Sophisticated Ladies," the international tour of "Once Upon A Mattress" and played the role of Anita in a Venice, Italy production of "West Side Story."

In the role of Ariel, Miss Benson has created a timeless character that has touched countless children's and adults' lives.
