Prince Caspian Starts Filming in January.
The second installment, The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian, will likely shoot in the forests of Europe this coming January, producer Mark Johnson told The Hollywood Reporter. The film is targeted for summer 2008. Andrew Adamson and Johnson will also reteam to produce the third film, "Voyage of the Dawn Treader," a year after finishing "Prince Caspian."

Walt Disney Pictures and Walden Media, in collaboration with Academy Award®-nominated director Andrew Adamson, have begun pre-production on "The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian," the next big screen installment of the "Narnia" Chronicles, and the follow-up to the international blockbuster, "The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe," it was announced today (2/2). The latter film, based on the works of C. S. Lewis, has attracted legions of moviegoers all over the world and has grossed in excess of $637.8 million to date at the worldwide box office. It also received three Academy Award® nominations earlier this week.

"The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian," will reunite most of the principal cast and creative team responsible for "The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe." Andrew Adamson ("Shrek," "Shrek 2") will reprise his role as director, in addition to serving as a producer, and co-writer (in collaboration with Christopher Markus and Steve McFeeley). Production is set to begin later this year for a Christmas 2007 release.

READING IN THE ARTS CONTEST
Florida Governor Jeb Bush and First Lady Columba Bush launched a statewide reading in the arts contest for students in grades 3-12 focused on the book The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe by C.S. Lewis. The contest, sponsored by the Just Read, Florida! initiative, will coincide with the nationwide release of the Walt Disney Pictures and Walden Media film adaptation of the renowned story on December 9, 2005. Winners will receive prize packages including a private screening of the movie, a weekend stay at Disney's Swan and Dolphin Resort, dinner at Orlando's Medieval Times, movie memorabilia and more. On December 7, in the presence of The Royal Highness (TRH) The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall, this extraordinary event film will transform Royal Albert Hall and Kensington Garden in to Narnia's 100 year winter. Chosen as the prestigious 2005 Royal Film Performance, the premiere is a fundraising event in aid of the Cinema and Television Benevolent Fund, it was announced today jointly by the Walt Disney Studios, Walden Media, the CTBF and Clarence House.

The magic of Disney will transform the evening into a glittering Winter Wonderland reflective of C. S. Lewis' vision of Narnia's 100 Year Winter. Royal Albert Hall will be turned in to a spectacular film palace with a glamorous white carpet replacing the traditional premiere red carpet. The 100 Year Winter theme will continue at the exclusive party in Kensington Garden following the screening where guests from around the world will be transported into a magnificent land with giant trees, frosted and sparkling, and adorned with ice carvings. Towering over the guests will be a giant iced chandelier as the centerpiece to the party.
