The Walt Disney Company provides environmental education through its Environmentality program. Below is more information about Disney's commitment to environmental education and the Environmentality approach to its many business efforts.

Environmentality

What is "Environmentality?" At The Walt Disney Company, we believe that respect for the environment is an important part of how we do business around the world. Therefore, we have developed several environmental education programs to further respect for the environment and spread "Environmentality" throughout the world. These programs include:

Jiminy Cricket's Environmentality Challenge

Jiminy Cricket's Environmentality Challenge is a unique partnership between The Walt Disney Company and the states of California and Florida, encouraging fifth-grade students to think more about their environment and why it is "cool to care" about the earth. Disney Wildlife Conservation Fund

There are many challenges facing wildlife today, including habitat destruction, conflicts between people and animals and lack of space for both. As global citizens, The Walt Disney Company helps experts create solutions to these issues by providing some of the resources they so desperately need. The Fund was established in 1995 as a global awards program for the study and protection of the worlds wildlife and ecosystems. It provides annual awards to US non-profit conservation organizations working alongside their peers in other countries.

The Disney Wildlife Conservation Fund includes contributions made by guests visiting the Walt Disney World Resort. Guests at Disneys Animal Kingdom, Disneys Animal Kingdom Lodge and The Living Seas at Epcot have an opportunity to Add A Dollar to their merchandise purchases. One hundred percent of guest contributions are in turn distributed to non-profit conservation and wildlife organizations. Disney pays all administrative costs and overhead. After seeing the animals in our parks, many of our guests are inspired to become more involved in the effort to save our last wild places. Their contributions help provide a connection to conservation and an immediate way to impact the wildlife they admire. Together, we are making a difference.
