"Bear in the Big Blue House"
This Playhouse Disney series from Jim Henson Productions is hosted by seven-foot Bear who exudes warmth, comfort and understanding. Along with a house full of puppet friends, Bear teaches preschool age kids a real world curriculum. All the action takes place in the kid-friendly Big Blue House where songs are sung, stories are told and imagination and adventure reign.
"Book of Pooh"
Playhouse Disney invites young viewers into the enchanted Hundred Acre Wood for fun and adventure with "Book of Pooh," a Disney Channel original series featuring Winnie the Pooh, Tigger, Piglet and all their friends.With imaginative storylines and whimsical songs, the series follows "Winnie the Pooh" and his classic friends as they explore the Hundred Acre Wood, all while learning about wordplay and language appreciation through Book of Pooh's underlying curriculum. Inspired by the literary creations of author A.A. Milne and the creative mind of Emmy Award-winner Mitchell Kriegman, Book of Pooh is the first television program to combine the 300 year old art of Japanese "bunraku" puppetry with newly developed, computer-generated "virtual sets."
"Out of the Box"
Imagination, creativity and fun are the key ingredients in Playhouse Disney's Out of the Box, an entertaining, original live-action series for preschoolers. The daily, half-hour program, which focuses on the adventures of a group of little kids and their caregivers, celebrates self-expression through song, dance, play, imagery, movement, storytelling and learn to make crafts using everyday household objects.
"PB&J Otter"
In this Playhouse Disney's animated series PB&J Otter, three young otters named Peanut, Baby Butter and Jelly, live in a houseboat on Lake Hoohaw with their parents. Other Lake Hoohaw families include the Otters' friends -- the Raccoons, the Ducks and the Beavers -- as well as the gossipy Watchbirds and the snooty Poodles. Each episode involves the kids exploring their world and using their imaginations.
"Rolie Polie Olie"
The first completely computer-generated, animated TV series (Rolie Polie Olie) aimed at little kids (ages 2-5), enters its third season on Disney Channel. The Emmy and Gemini Award-winning series "Rolie Polie Olie", chronicles the touching, tumultuous and sometimes hilarious world of Olie, a simple six-year-old boy who lives in a magical mechanical world where everyone and everything is round and robotic. The series was created by renowned children's book author and illustrator William Joyce.
"Disney's Stanley"
Playhouse Disney's Stanley is an animated, interactive, learning-based series created by Jim Jinkins and David Campbell ("Disney's PB&J Otter") based on characters from the popular "Stanley" children's book series by Griff (Hyperion Books for Children).The Disney's Stanley series follows the adventures of six-year-old Stanley Griff, an extremely imaginative and creative little boy who is wild about animals. In fact, he loves to make simple drawings of his favorite animals and to do research using his "Great Big Book of Everything." Through Stanley's antics and explorations, children have an opportunity to learn what it means to be imaginative and to have a passion for learning and caring about the world around them.
