'Protecting the Magic' is the main goal of the Walt
Disney World® Resort Security. Cast Members may work in various
locations throughout our Theme Park and Resort areas, both on-stage and
backstage, maintaining a safe and secure environment that enables our Guests
and Cast Members to experience the magic of Disney.
Types of Security roles include walking patrol, motor
patrol, kiosk support and relief support, which is responsible for providing
breaks to the other three positions. In all of these roles, responsibilities
include writing and inputting reports, conducting visual inspections of bags or
packages, directing traffic, responding to radio calls as needed, calling in
safety concerns and completing visual inspections and observing occurrences of
areas being patrolled.
Security Cast Members will also be trained in
Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and Automated External Defibrillator (AED)
procedures to respond to Guest emergencies as needed as well as go through
training from the state to receive their Class D License.
Security Cast Members receive a starting rate
of $10.24/hour. Third-Shift Security Cast Members also receive a premium of
$.60/hour.
Full-time, part-time and seasonal Cast Members at the
Walt Disney World Resort may also be able to share in various aspects of
the Disney Difference.
