'Protecting the Magic' is the main goal of the Walt Disney World® Resort Security. Cast Members may work in various locations throughout our Theme Park and Resort areas, both on-stage and backstage, maintaining a safe and secure environment that enables our Guests and Cast Members to experience the magic of Disney.

Types of Security roles include walking patrol, motor patrol, kiosk support and relief support, which is responsible for providing breaks to the other three positions. In all of these roles, responsibilities include writing and inputting reports, conducting visual inspections of bags or packages, directing traffic, responding to radio calls as needed, calling in safety concerns and completing visual inspections and observing occurrences of areas being patrolled.

Security Cast Members will also be trained in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and Automated External Defibrillator (AED) procedures to respond to Guest emergencies as needed as well as go through training from the state to receive their Class D License.

Security Cast Members receive a starting rate of $10.24/hour. Third-Shift Security Cast Members also receive a premium of $.60/hour.

Full-time, part-time and seasonal Cast Members at the Walt Disney World Resort may also be able to share in various aspects of the Disney Difference.
