RENDERING PROGRAMMER

Propaganda Games is seeking an experienced Rendering Programmer that knows the ins and outs of game rendering from the asset workflows to the low levels of the graphics engine. In this role you will work closely with the Rendering Team as well as working directly with other programmers and artists on the team.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • In collaboration with artists, design, implement, optimize and maintain Rendering features
  • Work with content creators to help refine their work-flows
  • Optimization of systems: frame-rate, memory usage and load-times
  • Quickly dive into problems and come up with solutions

Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent training and professional experience
  • Minimum of 4 years industry experience and 2 console titles shipped, 1 of which is in the PS3/Xbox 360 generation
  • Experience as a Rendering programmer on a title
  • Expert knowledge of C++
  • Knowledge of HLSL/Cg
  • Experience using profilers such as SN Tuner, GPAD, and PIX
  • Solid software engineering skills
  • Understanding of memory management, multiple processor use, and runtime optimization
  • Strong math skills including trigonometry, calculus and linear algebra
  • Good verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work in a dynamic team environment

Assets

  • Experience on an RPG title
  • Experience writing SPU and multithreaded job code
  • Experience with graphics tools such as Maya, MotionBuilder and Photoshop
  • Passion for making great game visuals
