ANIMATION/GAMEPLAY PROGRAMMER
Propaganda Games is working on an announced 3rd person action title and is looking for a Programmer with an interest in all areas of game programming. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in game play, animation and physics. This position will appeal to programmers looking to gain further experience in a broad range of areas rather than specializing in one particular area.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Be a quick study of new areas so that you can contribute and drive to solutions in a timely fashion
- Consult with engineering leads and producers to help determine what needs to be done and the plan of attack
- Work with content creators to provide them with tools and pipelines
- Work with designers on implementing game features
- Optimization of systems: Frame-rate, Memory usage and Load-times
Qualifications
- Bachelor degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent training and professional experience
- Minimum of 2 years industry experience and a shipped title
- Experience in at least 2 different game areas, preference for gameplay, animation or physics.
- Proficient in C++, 3+ years working with C++ professionally
- Solid software engineering skills
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- A strong desire to create world-class games
Assets
- Experience with Unreal
- Experience writing SPU and multithreaded job code
- Experience with V-Tune, SN Tuner, PIX
- Experience writing GUI tools
- Experience with PhysX or Havok runtime and workflows
- Experience with Maya
- Strong Math Skills
