Application and Interview Process

Q. I am interested in applying for a Disney Interactive Media Group summer internship or co-op position. How do I apply?
A. 1. Go to www.disneycareers.com
2. Search Disney Interactive Media Group
3. Select a role or two of interest and review the job description(s)
4. Click on Apply for this Job and create your online profile
5. Upload both a text and formatted (.doc or .pdf) resume file

Q. Will I receive a confirmation that my resume has been received?
A. Yes. After you apply online an acknowledgement will be emailed to you.

Q. How long after applying for a position can I expect to hear from a DIMG recruiter?
A. The time period can vary based on the match of your experience and skills to the open role. We recruit for summer internships and professional co-ops year round, so you may hear immediately or after a longer period of time. You can always log into your profile and update your contact information, resume and interests at www.disneycareers.com!

Q. Is there a deadline to submit my resume and application for a particular position?
A. There is no deadline. We hire year round for summer intern session and six month co-op sessions.

Q. What can I do if there are no positions currently available?
A. Visit www.disneycareers.com often as new positions are posted daily.

Q. What should I wear for my interview?
A. DIMG is a business casual environment. We recommend business attire for your interview.

Q. What if I am not able to travel for my interview due to school. Will I still be considered?
A. Yes, DIMG has various interview options. We can set up a web interview, video conference or an in-person interview. Your resume will be considered.

Q. What do DIMG, DIS, DOL, TSS and BSS stand for?

Q. Does DIMG offer relocation assistance for summer internships or professional co-ops?
A. Some internships offer assistance. Please inquire during the interview process if the specific opportunity you are considering offers assistance.

Q. Does DIMG offer intern and co-op participants professional development and training programs?
A. Yes, DIMG has a variety of resources for professional development courses available online for eligible employees. These resources are available in the form of classes, workshops, webinars and lecture series. Specific coursework will be recommended for interns and co-op participants.

Q. Does DIMG offer commuter assistance programs?
A. Yes, DIMG has programs for eligible employees in the Los Angeles and Seattle areas.

Q. Does DIMG hire students on F-1/J-1 visas?
A. Yes, DIMG does hire students on F-1/J-1 visas who have a valid CPT.

Q. Does DIMG hire students on OPT's?
A. Yes, DIMG does hire students with a valid CPT and EAD card.

Q. Does DIMG sponsor employees for temporary visas and Green Cards?
A. Yes. More information will be available during your interview process.

Q. Is DIMG an E-verify employer?
A. Yes, for most locations. More information will be available during your interview process.


Program

Q. What are the eligibility requirements for a summer internship?
A. Undergraduate and graduate students applying for a summer internship must be currently enrolled in a fully accredited educational institution and returning to school in the fall. Undergraduates must be in their sophomore or junior year and graduates must be in their first year at the time of application.

Q. What are the eligibility requirements for a professional co-op?
A. Both technical and creative professional six month co-ops are for students who have graduated with an undergraduate or graduate degree. You must be within one year of graduation from the time your co-op begins. Co-op sessions are January - June or July - December. For example, if you are applying for a January - June 2010 professional co-op you must have graduated no earlier than January 2009.

Q. Are there international internship or professional co-op opportunities available?
A. At this time all of our opportunities are domestic, however, as our programs evolve we will expand to offer opportunities in our international locations. Check www.disneycareers.com often for new postings.

Q. How can I find out if DIMG is recruiting at my school?
A. You can always click on the College Tour Dates to see when DIMG will be visiting your school. Also, check with your career services office as they have a master calendar of visits and events. Remember, even if we do not visit your campus this year we do review resumes from many campuses nationwide and you can always apply online via www.disneycareers.com or www.monstertrak.com.
