WED - Walt Disney created
a company of his
own to begin designing Disneyland, and it
became known as WED Enterprises, utilizing
Walt's initials. After Disneyland became
established, the Disney company acquired
WED, and eventually renamed it Walt Disney
Imagineering (WDI). With its designers,
engineers, sculptors, model makers, sound
engineers, architects, and other talented staff
members, WDI today is a unique organization
which plans the Disney parks, hotels, attractions,
and other facilities for the Disney company.
