Storyman - A storyman for an animated film is the equivalent of a script writer for a live action film, though early Disney storymen were always artists themselves, not writers. Rather than writing a script in words, they would make sketches depicting the action, which would be pinned up in order on storyboards. Storymen would make suggestions as to the design of characters and how they would be treated in the film, and then the director would make the final decisions as to which suggestions to use. While storymen today still create sketches to illustrate their ideas, they also prepare a normal script.
