Storyboard - Rather than
read a script, Disney
artists found it easier to visualize the story of an
animated film by viewing rows of sketches
depicting the action pinned to a 4' x 8' board.
Dialogue would be written below the sketches.
Storyboards were invented at the Disney Studio
in the early 1930s, and today are in common
usage throughout the film industry.
