Nash, Clarence (1904-1985) - There is hardly a kid alive who has not tried to imitate the voice of Clarence Nash; no, not his real voice, but the voice he used for Donald Duck. Walt heard Clarence's voice on the radio, and realized he could use him for the new character he was putting into "The Wise Little Hen" in 1934. Donald was a sensation, and eventually was used in well over a hundred shorts, with the voice provided by Clarence "Ducky" Nash. Ducky was also in demand for personal appearances, where he used a ventriloquist's dummy of the character.
