Luske, Hamilton (1903-1968) - An early addition to the Disney staff, in 1931, Ham Luske soon proved to Walt that he was a talented animator, and he was eventually elevated to be a director on films from "Pinocchio" to "101 Dalmatians." Walt also had Ham direct some of his prestige featurette projects, such as "Ben and Me," "Donald in Mathmagic Land," and "Donald and the Wheel," and the animated sections of "So Dear to My Heart" and "Mary Poppins." In early projects, he had distinguished himself with animating such key characters as Max Hare, Elmer Elephant, Jenny Wren, and Snow White.
