Larson, Eric (1905-1988) - Some animators
would sit hunched over their boards day by day,
engrossed in their animation, but a few were
more outgoing and willing and able to pass their
knowledge on to their younger colleagues. Eric
Larson was one of the latter. He never hesitated
to advise and help the newer animators, and
eventually ran an animation training program at
the Studio. Walt deemed him one of his Nine
Old Men, and he made major contributions by
animating and directing on most of the animated
features from "Snow White and the Seven
Dwarfs" to "The Great Mouse Detective."
