Kingswell Avenue Studio -
In 1923, Walt
Disney was rooming with his Uncle Robert on
Kingswell Avenue in Hollywood. When he got a
contract for his Alice Comedies, and was ready
to start his company, he went down the street
and rented the back half of a real estate office
near the corner of Kingswell and Vermont. This
was the first Disney Studio. When Walt and his
bother, Roy, had made enough money, they
moved into the storefront next door, and had
Disney Bros. Studio painted on the window.
