Ellenshaw, Peter (b. 1913)
- An English artist
who came to Walt's attention during the
production of "Treasure Island," Peter Ellenshaw
created matte paintings for that film, and later
came to the U.S. to continue his matte work at
the Disney Studio on such films as "20,000
Leagues Under the Sea" and "Mary Poppins." The
latter won him an Oscar. He also painted one of
the original large-size layouts for Disneyland,
which Walt used on his television show to inform
viewers about the park he was building in
Anaheim.
