Disney, Flora - Flora Disney, (1868-1938), mother of Walt, born Flora Call in Ohio. Flora often looked stern, but she had a wonderful sense of humor and enjoyed playing practical jokes on her more serious husband. She must have been a truly remarkable woman . She raised five children -- each of whom was very dissimilar from the other four -- and yet she was deeply loved by all five. This photo of Flora Disney was probably taken in Chicago around 1920.
