Broggie, Roger (1908-1991) - As head of the machine shop at the Disney Studio, Roger came to Walt's attention when the boss decided he wanted to tinker with making miniatures and working of a scale-model train for his back yard. In Roger's shop, Walt learned to use a lathe and other machines, and Roger was pressed into service to design the layout for Walt's railroad and help build the rolling stock. With a reputation as a train expert, Roger worked also on the trains for Disneyland and the later Disney parks.
