Alice Comedies - A series of 56 cartoons created by Walt between 1924 and 1927. The cartoons featured a live-action little girl named "Alice" who had adventures in a land of animated characters. Alice was played by Virginia Davis in Kansas City. Once Walt received an order for the cartoons, Virginia and her family moved to California from Kansas City to star in the films. The series was distributed by Margaret Winkler and later by her husband, Charles Mintz.
